Imaging of Artificial Bubble Distribution Using a Multi-Sonar Array System

چکیده
Bubble clusters present in seawater can cause acoustic interference and signal distortion during marine exploration. However, this also be used as an masking technique, which has significant implications for military purposes. Therefore, characterizing the distribution of bubble water would allow development anti-detection technologies. In study, a sea experiment was performed using multi-sonar array system bubble-generating material developed by our research group to obtain signals from artificial cluster characterize its distribution. The acquired data were preprocessed, reverse-time migration (RTM) applied dataset. For effective RTM, envelope waveform decrease computation time memory requirements. RTM results could effectively image characteristics clusters. Compared with Doppler current profiler data, backscattering strength boundary imaged estimated range between −30 −20 dB. three-dimensional open determined through RTM. Furthermore, obtained study reference future studies.

Sonar Which Penetrates Bubble Clouds
Man-made active sonar does not operate well in bubbly water. However dolphins and porpoises not only function effectively in shallow coastal waters, but also at times generate large bubble fields to assist with catching prey. Possible physics solutions to target detection in bubbly water are proposed, and the validities of such proposed acoustical solutions are explored through theory, simulati...
متن کاملArray Shape Tracking Using Active Sonar Reverberation
This paper concerns the problem of array shape tracking from clutter for a towed active sonar array. Although heading sensors can provide towed-array shape information, they are sometimes not sufficiently available or accurate to facilitate beamforming with low sidelobe levels necessary for detection of low-Doppler targets, especially in the presence of severe bottom reverberation. We propose a...

In present missions of submarines, the detection of hostile targets is one of the main objectives. To achieve these objectives modern submarines are well equipped with sonar sensors and signal processing units for all acoustical frequency ranges. The detection and analysis of silent or distant targets is the main task of towed array systems. Towed arrays have their advantages in the low frequen...

It is well established that high intensity focused ultrasound can be used to disintegrate clots. This approach has the potential to rapidly and noninvasively resolve clot causing occlusions in cardiovascular diseases such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT). However, lack of an appropriate treatment monitoring tool is currently a limiting factor in its widespread adoption. Here we conduct cavitation ...
متن کاملA multi-functional bubble-based microfluidic system
Recently, the bubble-based systems have offered a new paradigm in microfluidics. Gas bubbles are highly flexible, controllable and barely mix with liquids, and thus can be used for the creation of reconfigurable microfluidic systems. In this work, a hydrodynamically actuated bubble-based microfluidic system is introduced. This system enables the precise movement of air bubbles via axillary feed...
